Data and the world

Sept. 12, 2019 Hamid

With the emergence of the internet the world has started being called a global village, now as the world progresses so does the amount of information, these days everyone is online and because of that everyone is accessible. Now this can be seen as a huge achievement for mankind but with it are cautions, these days data is more valuable than oil as reported by economic central, our information is being used by many organisations to identify their target audience. It is used for micro targeting, getting quicker results and the most important one of them all is training artificially intelligent machines. This is all to create smarter platforms, easier use, better targeted advertisements and so on. Let's hope the world is better for the people and not like the dystopia described by Richard Morgan in Altered Carbon.

AI and the new Era

Mar. 22, 2024 Hamid

With the rise of artificial intelligence, the world is stepping into a new era—one where machines are not just tools, but collaborators. AI is no longer confined to labs or science fiction; it is now woven into the apps we use, the services we rely on, and even the way we communicate. This is a huge leap for humanity, offering efficiency, personalization, and innovation at unprecedented scales. But with great power comes great responsibility. AI systems rely on vast amounts of data, often personal, to learn and improve. As we step into this AI-driven era, it’s a chance for humanity to guide the technology, not be guided by it. Let’s hope this new world is shaped to empower people, enhance creativity, and build opportunities—rather than mimic the dystopias imagined in science fiction. The future is here, and it’s up to us to make it one we want to live in.
